My Favorite Speech
My favorite speech was the demonstration speech when I taught the class how to shoot a basketball. It was my favorite for a variety of reasons. First is because I got to teach the class something I was passionate about, since I love the game of basketball. Second, it was interesting for me because as I did my research I learned more about a topic that I was truly interested in And finally it was my favorite because it was really fun. I had a good time writing and presenting my speech and it didn't really seem like work at all. I enjoyed this speech also because as I demonstrated I felt a lot less nervous because I was actively presenting and moving around throughout my speech.

To do a project about something you are passionate about almost never seems like a task. I was really excited about my demonstration speech as well because I learned more about the sport of volleyball. I remember hearing your speech as well because I am also really passionate about basketball, later I realized that I might have played against you when you were in the private basketball league. Funny how things like that happen, but overall I’m glad you had a great time with at least one of your speeches. Good luck with your finals and future classes that you decide to take!
Marisa I have to agree with you because my favorite speech was the demonstration speech as well. I ha the most fun with this speech because I was able to teach the class something that was close to my heart. I took karate for years so to have to do a speech on it really made me happy. It wasn’t that hard to research because I had already knew so much about it and getting up there did not even feel like I was giving a speech. I enjoyed your speech too about basketball. I thought it was very interesting and that you did a great job.
I clearly remember your basketball speech because I also love basketball! Plus, I remember out of all the speeches, yours was one of the best. You kept the audiences attention by being enthusiastic, moving around, and practicing your speech. I don't even remember you using notecards, and at the same time it didn’t sound memorized. I still get nervous doing speeches though so I couldn't do that without looking at note cards. Once in a different public speaking class, we weren’t allowed to use cards so I blanked out and forgot what my topic was. EMBARASSING. Well, at least the practice helped me be a little more comfortable speaking in front of people.
